Roleplay is assuming the role of a character and writhing, acting or playing as that character would. Forum roleplaying happens when a group of people using a forum to create a story. The story can be loosely related, as in a large forum roleplaying game where many characters inhabit a huge world. The story can also be closely related, as in a small boarding school roleplaying game where all characters know each other. The actual roleplaying happens through text. Roleplayers write responses to one another through posts. Each post describes the character’s actions, speech, and thoughts. Forum roleplay is often called play-by-post roleplay. When you roleplay, you assume the role of a character. A character is made-up entity created for roleplaying. You create a character (a person, animal, demon, alien, or whatever is appropriate for your RPG setting) and write from their perspective/role. Your character isn’t you, and you aren’t your character — you’re separate entities. You can think of it like an actor in a movie — the actor is not the character. Johnny Depp is not Captain Jack Sparrow, Mort Rainey, or John Dillinger.

The first thing you should do is get a quick understanding of the world's. [ATHEYA] consists of seven different cities, each city has its own purpose. The largest city, on the edge to the east, is Levande. This is the capital of Atheya, and also the place that is most populated. In [NASSAU] there are pirates who rule, there is no king or queen, but people who control Nassau in the shadows without anyone knowing about it. If you want to meet a knight in shining armor, [CAMELOT] is your destination. Uther Pendragon manages the place and has banned all sorts of magic, will Merlin and Arthur be able to change this?

You may want to visit other places in [ATHEYA]? The forests of Vanesia or Uumalia, the coastal city of Esmor, the hardworking people of Laxola, visiting the wizards of Agridin or climbing the mountains of Louthia? Have you always been a fan of the supernatural. But maybe you do not fully know all the facts about the different [CREATURES], or are you curious about learning more. Don't you worry. This is the board what will explains a little more about each creature in a easy way for you to understand.

Once you've read all the useful information, you're ready to create your first character. When you are going to make your first character, you may want to have a little idea of how you want your character to be. Find out if your character should be human or a creature, where he or she is going to live, is this a character from a movie / series? You are free to choose who you want on your photo of your character, check whether the actor is already in use before submitting. Click on [CHARACTER APPROVAL], find [APPLYFORM]. Just fill out the application, create a new thread and wait for an admin to approve.

All approved characters will be placed under the [APPROVED] board. Here each creature has got its own board, so it's easier to keep control. If you're looking for a vampire, simply tap on the vampire and it will be located there. The same applies if your character is to live in Nassau or Camelot. There they have own board's for knights, noble people, pirates ect ..

You have hopefully got your character approved and the fun can start. There are different ways you can start a thread, feel free to set up a plotter / tracker if that's your thing, maybe just throw an open thread or talk to a member to make a thread together. However, the most important thing is to have fun. There are not so many points to the roleplay if you do not like it.

When you play roleplay, you will have to deal with different periods of time. In Camelot there are no cars, electricity, ect. All transport takes place on horseback, on foot or horse-carriage. The approximate time period for Camelot is 5th and early 6th centuries. In Nassau there are no cars, electricity, ect. All transport takes place on horseback, on foot, horse-carriage or ship. The approximate time period for Nassau is the Golden Age of Piracy spread over the 1650s to the late 1720s. In Atheya there are three different options you can role-play with, you can choose from: Camelot's era, Nassau's era or Atheya's era; that is, the present.
